The location may be a challenge without a car, and the steep hill could pose difficulties for those with mobility issues. While the menu at Hook sounds appealing, the pricing for some items, like the bread and butter or the breakfast options, felt a bit excessive, especially given the standard of the food served. breakfast can get quite busy, leading to longer waits for items like eggs.

Dog-friendly environment, luxurious treehouses, outdoor hot tubs
Temperature control in rooms needs attention!!! The noise transfer between accommodations made for restless nights. I also encountered poor signage, leading to unnecessary confusion around the property. A few tweaks could enhance enjoyment!!!

An unforgettable birthday retreat!
I stayed in one of the Hilly Huts for my birthday, and it was absolutely magical! Sipping prosecco in the outdoor hot tub while enjoying breathtaking views was the highlight of my trip. The personal touches, like a birthday card and balloons, made me feel truly special. I wish the hot tub temperature could be adjusted for comfort.

Loved the cozy log burners and the unique outdoor hot tubs. Room heating didn't work well, making it chilly at times. The games room had plenty of fun options, like billiards and darts, but I wanted better dining options. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
